Hi!

Greetings from County Durham, UK.

​

I'm originally from Lancashire, lived for nearly thirty years in West Yorkshire, but have just moved further north with my husband and feline overlords.

​

When I'm not teaching small children, I spend a lot of time sequestered away, typing frantically on my laptop and cursing the vagaries of modern technology.

 

My Romans love everything from steam engines (actually invented by the ancient Greeks, though without a practical application), to gunpowder, which would, I think, have mirrored our own. 

If anyone says anything, I claim it's PARALLEL EVOLUTION.

I am also fascinated by the way the various deities and traditions throughout the Roman Empire mingled and meshed into strange hybrid beliefs, ending up many miles from their places of origin. Throw in Gods and Monsters, and there you have the basis of my SHIPS OF BRITANNIA series. 

​

I started all this long before the Great Pandemic, but being stuck at home gave me the chance to develop and actually do something with my ideas. I'd love to hear your thoughts, comments, or just say hello. 

 

One more thing. Just in case you were wondering, my feline overlords are called Zeus and Hades. They're almost as demanding as the originals.
